It's really quite unfair that the ancient cherry trees on the Quad bloom on the Friday of finals, just in time for all the students to disappear for a week. On the other hand, it is nice to be staff at this time of year. I don't feel like I'm invading student space when I want to linger and enjoy the Quad. I expect this next week to be very quiet. I have been warned that the start of the quarter can be crazy, so I'll enjoy the quiet while I can.

Aren't the cherry blossoms out of this world? My favorites used to be the entire avenue of them up at the entrance of Children's Hospital...until they whacked 'em all down. Pooh.
