From the moment I started spinning this yarn I knew I would knit it into a pair of "Ocean Toes" socks (Cat Bordhi). Sadly, that just isn't going to work out. I really like "New Pathways for Sock Knitters", but that pattern is not right for this yarn. I should probably look for errata because some parts of the book don't seem right at all (granted, with Cat's patterns I usually just trust and knit through the fear). Anyway, this doesn't feel right and I don't think it ever would. So - to the frog pond it goes, to be reborn as something else (that also looks like socks). For now I am going to focus on the Kauni I am knitting for Sez, and take my black STR as bus knitting. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

I still think that is some of the loveliest hand spun sock yarn I've seen. And yeah, if it doesn't feel right take a step back! Also, I spy, with my little eye, camel sample in the background. *G*
